Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993, and the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely recognized as the pioneer of modern studies of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and the role of children in witnessing. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers she has received grants from numerous sources and received several international and national awards. She has been a consultant to numerous governments and agencies throughout the world regarding policies as well as research on children who are victims of the justice system. Additionally, she provides consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of several professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a Founding Member and International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been the president of three divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development as well as Practice Division of the American Psychology Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
